{"id":159,"date":"2022-06-23T15:20:52","date_gmt":"2022-06-23T15:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/?page_id=159"},"modified":"2024-03-04T17:49:13","modified_gmt":"2024-03-04T17:49:13","slug":"plex-settings","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/index.php\/plex-settings\/","title":{"rendered":"Plex Settings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For your device to play Plex Movies\/Shows in the best quality (and less work on the Plex Server) you need to change some settings in your Plex App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-red-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">These settings need to be made on ALL the devices you use Plex on, ALL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open up the Plex App and while on the Home Screen navigate down until you see Settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">If you don&#8217;t see Settings you&#8217;re either not logged into Cosy Plex, or not on the Plex Home Screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Highlight Settings and click to open the Settings page up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"334\" height=\"236\" src=\"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-1-.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9\" style=\"width:605px;height:427px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-1-.png 334w, https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-1--300x212.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 334px) 100vw, 334px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navigate to &#8220;Account&#8221; and set &#8220;Sign in Automatically&#8221;  to save you signing in each time you open Plex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then navigate down to &#8220;Video Quality&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"380\" height=\"212\" src=\"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-2-.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11\" style=\"width:608px;height:339px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-2-.png 380w, https:\/\/support.cosyclub.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/plex-2--300x167.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 380px) 100vw, 380px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-32169a7f31dd0463a5dfead62088c9ab wp-block-paragraph\">The first setting to check is &#8220;Adjust Automatically&#8221; this must be turned OFF\/unchecked\/deactivated !!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9e1afb1600b0f47ee49906593539c4f3 wp-block-paragraph\">Home streaming can be ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-797c2e2b8c4ee0a8f498f3a4bfe8ad61 wp-block-paragraph\">Quality Suggestions must be set to OFF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8d6fbe0bfe8fee6050329876fa57448d wp-block-paragraph\">Then navigate right, highlighting &#8220;Remote Streaming&#8221; and select it, then CHANGE IT to Maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ignore any other settings as they won&#8217;t apply to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Optional extra settings are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subtitles, you may customise them as you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Audio, you may set Passthrough to hdmi if, and only if, you know what it is, means and you know what you&#8217;re doing.
